FIRST Day of School...

So far so good! The first day of School and everyone has come home except Lindsey. Sarah and Mitchell seemed to have successful days. Mitchell was worried because his best friend was going to be in a different class this year, but they realized they have specials and recess together so it is all good. He also came home and said that it was going to be the best year ever...He said there were 2 really cute G I R L S in his class. He went on to explain that one of the girls was wearing a shirt that said "Cutie" on it, and then said "And I am thinking..yeah, you ARE cute!" It was so adorable.

Sarah had a bit of a scare, she couldn't find her schedule! She thought she had left it up at the church last night....so at 10:45 she and her dad made a trip up to the church (a long haul) to retrieve the lost schedule...only the room she left it in was locked and Scott's keys wouldn't open that room...so she had to go to school and ask for a new schedule....Only to find out this afternoon that he schedule was sitting in my car! (Shhsh..don't tell Scott he drove to the church for nothing:) Her day starts out at 5:00 am! Her long time Friend Jordan picked her up and brought her home so that she wouldn't have to ride the yellow limo as a Junior!

I haven't seen Lindsey yet, the middle school gets out the latest. She will fly in the door just in time to get ready for cheerleading (On the first day? Give me a Break!) But Lindsey looked really cute this morning in a brand new outfit and I curled her hair for her.

We are ready to begin our hectic Life. One thing that is pretty weird, is that each of my children get up at different times, and leave separate from each other. It makes for a busy schedule for me, but also time spent alone with each child each day.

Happy Birthday To My Lindsey Lou !!

Officially a Teenager!!
13!!!

Lindsey was such a polite baby.
She waited until AFTER Sarah's 3rd birthday
to make her entrance into the world
....but only by about 16 hours.

I was so thankful that my girls
got to have separate birthdays.
It must have been really hard to be the 3rd G I R L
in the family. But Lindsey has a personality that is
uniquely her OWN.
She can hold her own in a family of 6!
Her daddy used to call her a "Daffi-demon"
Because she was a pretty as a flower
but had the ability to let everyone know she was there!

I am not sure there was ever a prettier girl
on her Baptism day

On the inside and the out.

Lindsey' s has always had a love of Whales
and
wants to be a Whale Trainer
for Sea World even today.

She loves to Cheer and has a great deal of School Spirit!

I am so happy to have Lindsey
in my life as my 3rd Daughter.

Lindsey is so much like me in many ways.
I see a natural born leader
and someone
that will never get pushed around in life.

Lindsey has ALWAYS loved Children

and will make a wonderful mother.

I Love you sweetheart!
Happy 13th!

I am sorry I had both you and Sarah so close together,
and that it is hard to make each day special

Sweet Sarah is Sixteen!!!!

Happy Sweet 16 to my little Sarah!
You make my life so happy, joyful and fun!
You had the honor of making me a mother.
It was the happiest day of my life

You had a smile on your face
from the very beginning of your life.

You had wisdom
beyond your years in many ways

But you were still my little girl
that delighted in
all the new things you would do.

What ever you did growing up,
you did it your best
with a smile on your face.

As you grew, you matured
into a beautiful young woman,

that loves the gospel and loves to keep your
Heavenly Father's commandments

You would make your grandmama proud!

Happy Birthday my sweet Sarah!

I can't believe it has been 16 years
since you joined our family.

You make my life fun, happy
and a joy to be a mother.

Team Edward? Or Team Jacob?

If any of you out there have girls...
you will most likely be at the same place I will be tonight.
Sarah and Lindsey have been counting down the days
and now it is finally here.
Borders at Midnight.
Girls are making their shirts to wear
I took the "Team Jacob" transfer for myself
I always root for the underdog and the
all around good stable man.
In the end..they will still be there for you
when the romance is gone.

No sleep tonight...no sleep tonight.....
I hope one of them reads pretty fast....
I don't want to admit it, but I just have to know who she chose.

Mitchell's Big Catch!!!

My dad took Mitchell out on Lake Lanier this week.
It was a hot and pretty much dead day on the lake.
No fish were biting.
Mitchell was trying to earn requirements for an "arrow point" for cub scouts.
But as my dad put it..."God must really love a little cub scout
...he blessed him with this catch.
The grin on Mitchell's face says it all.
My dad says it was the biggest fish he has caught on the lake this year.
The drought has really hurt the fishing.
They took pictures and let it go..even though he could have kept it.
It was big enough to keep, but they let him go.

Sarah on the Trek

Our Stake is doing a Pioneer Trek this week!
The leaders have been planning this for Youth Conference
for a year. Needless to say, my Sarah was NOT excited one bit
about going on a Pioneer Trek for 3 days with Port-a-potties and sleeping outside.
No showers...no air conditioning..no mirrors for make-up
...no running water to brush her teeth.
But...true to what Sarah is made up of...She finally agreed to go.
Modern Technology is so wonderful and I think the Pioneers would be amazed.
Our Youth can be in the middle of a re-inactment and have photo's placed on the
web for their parents to see how they are doing!!!!

I was so excited to see these pictures last night of Sarah!
I had been really worried because there were lots of Thunderstorms
in our area last night. I know they were pulling these handcarts in the R A I N
and that their gear was going to be all wet.
They were each allowed a 5 gallon paint bucket that could weigh no more than
17 Pounds!
They weren't allowed to bring Cell phones or i-pods
or any modern thing
like a squeeze-breeze fan
But from the earlier photos of the day....before the rain
They all seemed to be smiling!

I was very excited to see this picture!
Isn't she beautiful as a pioneer?
(yeah, they allowed sun glasses)
There were 200 youth going, and only like 50 photo's posted...
So to see my Sarah's sweet face made me so happy
That I could fall asleep last night content.
I even watched the church movie
"Legacy"
as I was falling asleep so that I could feel what she is feeling
especially the scene in the rain.
I can't wait until she gets home on Thursday...I want to hear it all
(just not experience it myself...I am watching kids and a dog from
parents that went on the trek as my part of the experience)
I can forward the e-mail with the link if anyone wants to see all
the photos (Laura there is one of Nathan too)

Disney...Rain...Seaworld...Rain...Epcot...Rain...you get the point!!

We are home same and wet from our trip to Florida.
It rained everyday...and hard!
We just kept right on going, with rain ponchos.

Mitchell was so excited that he was now tall enough to ride
all the big roller coasters.
This one is from the Aerosmith rollercoaster at Hollywood Studios
I took a picture of the picture...didn't want to pay $20 for the memory

This is from the new Pixar Toy Story virtual game ride.
I loved this one...because my score was the best in the family.
(It isn't often that I get to be the best)

We really had to get onto Mitchell for teasing "Shamu".
Fortunately the Orca was a good sport about it :)

This is at the Animal Kingdom in front of their newest ride
"Everest"
Yes....I even did it..even though it really made me sick
All I could think was...why did God put me in a family
with a bunch of dare devils...why do I have to prove myself?
They all rode it a second time...I chose to hold the backpacks
for everyone while they rode it...aren't I sweet?

This is at Magic Kingdom. This spot is right by the Thunder Mountain
Railroad. When Mitchell was 4 I took the best picture of him here...I had
to try again. Unfortunately Mitchell had just had blue gatorade.

We had a great time...we fought, we walked...we got soaked.
It was a great family trip.
We were sorry that Meagan couldn't be with us for this one
She was in Utah getting her wisdom teeth out...and
cussing us for leaving her out.
Don't worry Meagan...the next family vacation is
H A W A I I
again...we won't leave you out of that one!

Disney or Bust

We gotta do it...
Mitchell is growning up
and won't be a little kid to enjoy it if we wait too much longer
....see ya in a week!
